PHASE TWO TEACHING ON MALARIA AWARENESS
On June 01, 2012, God’s Glory Children Foundation, in partnership with Cheerful Hearts Foundation, sponsored an ”Awareness of Malaria” seminar at the Maranatha prep school, in Ghana-Kasoa. The speaker and instructor was Jen Akua De Mond and Grace Seo, an intern at the Cheerful Hearts Foundation, from [state] , USA.
All students at the Junior High Level were in attendance.
Our intention and heartfelt obligation is to educate our children from a young age regarding how malaria is contracted, transmitted and how it can be prevented. The information received by these students will not only empower and help protect our young people, but will be disseminated to their families and communities. It is imperative that this vital information be spread quickly, to save many lives in Ghana and neighboring countries.
In Ghana alone, a life is lost every three (3) hours to this disease. You can also support our ongoing project to rescue more children to school this year by clicking on donate . For more information about our organization and educational programs please visit our site or

AWARENSS OF MALARIA
AWARENESS OF MALARIA
On
Wednesday 22th May 2012 God’s Glory Children Foundation in partnership
with Cheerful Hearts Foundation organized an awareness talk on Malarial
at Maranatha prep school, Ghana-Kasoa. The talk was held by a Cheerful
Hearts Foundation intern, Jane, from the USA. It was given to all
students in the Junior High Level of the school. We are trying to
educate the children from a young age about how it is transmitted and
how one can prevent getting it. This will not only protect them, but
they can educate their friends, family and community and thus help
inform more people that previously were not educated on this topic.
You can also support our ongoing project to send more children to school this year by clicking on DONATE

You are all welcome to God's Glory Children Foundation new blog post
If you have been following us on our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gods-Glory-Children-Foundation/228493737214708) or on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYvKiqyLvvI), you will have heard about the OUR DAY celebration at Maranatha Prep School supported by God’s Glory Children Foundation. In this new post we would like to tell you more about this celebration.
First of all the Our Day celebration is held 3 times a year. It always takes place on the last day before the school vacations begin.
As the word suggests it is a day meant for the children to enjoy (Our Day) meaning day for the students. The first two Our Day celebrations of the year are smaller events; however, the last Our Day celebration which occurs before the summer holidays is the biggest. On this day the children receive their final school reports and are moved up one class (if the grades permit). Thus is signifies the end of the school year (which surely gives a meaningful purpose to the celebrations).
On each Our Day the children are allowed to dress in their own home clothes. Many students come in very nice traditional dresses and make an effort to look their best for this day. It is celebrated by having loud music and dance competitions as well as other fun activities. The school grounds are transformed into a large dance platform and teachers become DJ’s and friends. Also the children eat together. All are relieved to have finished the stress of exams that came before and look forward to the holidays ahead.
Our Day is not only the favourite day of the year for the students, but also for the staff and any present volunteers. Volunteers that get the chance to experience Our Day will have a day full of fun and joy as they experience their students dancing and performing.
Thanks very much for reading and if you will like to support our Foundation to be able to help more Children in Ghana please Click DONATE

We would like to give you a short introduction to our Foundation (God's Glory Children Foundation) and what we do here in Ghana on this third blog.
The two areas we focus our work on is Education and Health care for children in need (these are often orphans or street children).
![]() |
Our aim is to provide impoverished and orphaned children with an education. We mainly do this by sponsoring some of the neediest children. At the moment we sponsor more than 40 children at our Partner school (Maranatha prep-school www.maranathaprepsch.com). We are currently paying for their schools fees, school supplies,Cloth, food and uniform.
We hope that by doing so we are offering them an education they would otherwise not have the chance to receive and thus we are giving them the key to success and a brighter future. By giving them an education they will be able to get a better job which will not only help themselves, but their entire family and community. With the knowledge they have gained they will be able to help their community to find solutions to conflicts and educate their friends and family. Here is some shot videos of the children we support
We currently have many more students, both at Maranatha prep-school and elsewhere in Ghana waiting for a kind sponsor to help pay for their schooling (if you visit our website at www.godsglorychildrenfoundation.com you will be able to see some of these children and how you can help them)
Another area we focus on is Health. We are hoping to provide the local hospitals and Health Centres with equipment and help some of the neediest and deprived patience gain access to health care which can be very costly. We would also like to provide all the children we sponsor with a basic Health Care to prevent them of falling sick of some easily preventable illnesses and diseases.
We also receive volunteers to help us in accomplishing our aims. Volunteers provide a great resource to us as they are able to come with their skills that they have acquired at home and put them into practice here.
So if you are interested in helping us than you will find an application form and lots more information on our website www.godsglorychildrenfoundation.com.
In the short time we have been working we have already achieved a lot and are hoping to grow further and further so that we can help more and more people – however – this is only possible through your support and help!
Please support us with our new project
Thanks very much in advance for your support and hope to hear from you soon.

WELCOME TO GOD'S GLORY CHILDREN FOUNDATION
On this second blog post of the year, we
would like to let you know how helpful and lovely many volunteers who come to
Africa are. They are all willing to share their experience with us and the
children of our Foundation.
On the 15th February 2012 eight
volunteers came to join us at our Partner School (Maranatha prep-school). These
volunteers were Shanell Ransom, Hannah Helbert, Maya Allicok, Amy Johnson,
Eleni Patitsas, Kimani Kerr, Grace Koplow and Matt Rogers. All of these volunteers
are on a sea semester (thus on a ship) that came to Ghana.
All of them were extremely good to the children
and they encouraged them to keep learning and to believe in themselves and
their abilities. They assured the children that they have a good future. This
group of volunteer not only left the children with a message of inspiration
they were also extremely kind to leave us with a donation.
We hope to see all of them again as they
were able to help our Foundation and all children at Maranatha prep-school a
lot and put smiles on all of our faces!
We surely hope to welcome many more of such
dedicated, inspirational and helpful volunteers to our Foundation and do hope
that they will also have a good time like the group of volunteers we just
hosted!!

have will be able to help someone here in Ghana. Thus we receive volunteers
from any background, age, gender and with any skills – we are sure we will find
something fun, helpful and rewarding for you to do. Not only are we hoping for
the support of volunteers that come out here to Ghana, but you can also help
from home (e.g. providing us with suggestions, fundraising ideas, organising fundraising
events at home, helping us with the betterment of our website, advertising,
finding organisations to partner with etc.). The main activities for Volunteers
that come to Ghana are as teachers and helping in the medical sector (working
alongside doctors and nurses in local hospitals and health centres).
